How does the CompuSooth work?
This wrist support uses SoothSoft ® Comfort Technology to provide cooling without using electricity or refrigeration. By combining the right materials and an ingenious design, the CompuSooth stays at room temperature which is always cooler than your body. It absorbs heat from your body and releases it into the air around you. The CompuSooth is meant to be pleasantly cool, but not cold because cold is uncomfortable to our bodies.

Is it supposed to be cool all the time?
One important thing is to let the air get to it. Keep it on top of your desk or in the coolest area of your home, never in direct sunlight or near a heat source. If you want it even cooler, you may put your CompuSooth in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes. This makes CompuSooth super cooler. NEVER put it in the freezer - that will damage the material and void your warranty! Remember, following the activation instructions carefully and maintaining the vacuum by removing all air once a month will ensure that the CompuSooth gives you maximum performance for years. NB: Keep out of direct sunlight.

How do I make it the coolest it can be?
The CompuSooth was designed to help cool your wrists. After an active day, when your metabolism is high and you're hot, the CompuSooth is cool and refreshing. But by the end of the day, the CompuSooth will be only slightly cool or tepid which is exactly what your body needs. After you get out of bed, the CompuSooth can accumulate heat and feel warmer. Over night the CompuSooth loses any accumulated heat so it's ready when you need its coolness once again in the morning. There is no maintenance required, except sweeping any accumulated air out once per month. It takes just a couple of minutes and restores the vacuum that maintains coolness.

↑Back to Top The Inside of my CompuSooth has bunched up. What can I do to fix it and why has this happened?
The core of the CompuSooth can from time to time bunch up if the vacuum in-side is not great enough (ie. there is to much air). To fix the problem, undo the stopper and allow air to enter, If possible blow into the CompuSooth as if blowing up a balloon, this will make it much easier to reposition the inner core by holding one corner with your finger while moving and gently shaking the CompuSooth to reposition the core to its correct position. Full details of this are listed on the instruction sheet.

Can I drain my CompuSooth of water for travelling and do I ever have to add more water?
The CompuSooth has been designed for once activation only using 1 pint of ordinary tap water and should not really be drained after this process is complete. However, if you really must remove the water you can gently empty as much as you can from the CompuSooth and reactivate by adding water until the overall weight of the CompuSooth is xxxgrms. You can only do this by weighing the CompuSooth on kitchen scales and then adding water until the weight is achieved. To complete the process brush the air out from the CompuSooth as before and leave for 1 hour before using. This is the only way to refill a CompuSooth as the specialist core once activated will always hold on to some of the water and so make any future filling difficult to judge.

Can I use the CompuSooth outside?
Yes and no. The product is not meant to be used in direct sunlight because sun may discolour the CompuSooth but won't damage it otherwise. However, direct sunlight will heat it up. If used outside, on a lawn chair for example, cover it with your t-shirt or a thin cloth to protect it from the sun but let the cooling come through. It'll keep you cool for an hour or so, and then let it recharge in the house at room temperature or put it in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes for a quicker recharge.
